Old edition of Moby Dick by Herman Melville

Can anyone help me sort out which edition this is and if it is of any value?  Published by  Sampson Low, Marston & Co. Ltd . s o r r y m u m meets the people - Piri from Aitu, Cook Islands - the bread changed everything

Piri on Rarotonga. "You can only appreciate so many mountains and beautiful lakes, sunsets and turquoise lagoons - then you have to meet the people ", a friend once said. And he was right. When travelling over time, as I did a year, your surroundings start to not give any meaning. You stop seeing and appreciating nature. Nature fatigue . Very interesting phenomena that can even make you sad and depressed. Pointing out the reason helped. I knew I had to meet the people, so I changed my focus. On Rarotonga, an island in the Cook Islands, I met Piri. In 2002. First at his coconut-tree-climbing show where we als where taught how to make a fire with sticks and to cook with hot stones in the ground. We all had to work together and it gave meaning. It  took us half a day to cook the meal. Piri making a fire. The stones were heated by the fire we made. s o r r y m u m på 60-tallet - melkespann, komper og laksedød - hva gjorde mormor?

1963 En vakker sommerdag på 60-tallet. Ikke alle kvinner stod på barrikadene og ikke hele tiden. Skulle vel ikke slutte å være kvinne? Skulle det ikke bare være greit å strikke ? Greit å melke ? Greit å slumre i sola i fluktstolen? I hagen med bena i nesten nyklippet gress. Grave tærne ned i gresset og kjenne kjøligheten fra svart muld. Snu seg og titte rundt stolryggen for å se hvem som kjører lastebil forbi. Kanskje er det storebror? Støver litt fra grusveien som er sommertørr, men det gjør ikke noe for det er sikkert to timer til neste bil kjører forbi. Lure på når bonden Isak inne i garden skal komme og hente de tomme melkespannene . Kanskje onkel rir forbi på hesten som ingen forstod hvorfor han kjøpte, men kanskje han bare elsket hester, Onkel Kåre. Kanskje er det tidlig ettermiddag og knaskje har de hvite syrinene nettopp avblomstret. De skal melke snart, skal de ikke? Kanskje de har ekstra melkespann i fjøset . Kanskje de bytter de tomme med med fulle spann av varm ...
